MADELEINE KOOMSON
MADELEINE KOOMSON
I am a master’s student with a strong interest in Africa’s development, particularly in governance, sustainable development, resource management, and economic integration. My thesis explores the implications of lithium mining, focusing on how Africa can harness its mineral resources to drive economic growth without succumbing to the resource curse. I am passionate about initiatives that foster sustainable development and economic prosperity across the continent, with a special interest in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
I am interested in supporting the African Centre for International Affairs (AfriCIA) by assisting with social media management and content creation. I believe that effective social media engagement can amplify AfriCIA’s mission and reach a broader audience, promoting their work in diplomatic excellence and global governance. Through social media, I aim to help AfriCIA share its initiatives and foster a community that supports Africa’s growth and development.
As a storyteller, I am keen on crafting compelling narratives that highlight AfriCIA’s efforts in promoting sustainable development, good governance, equitable resource distribution, and effective resource management. Through engaging articles, blog posts, and newsletters, I aim to inspire action and foster collaboration among stakeholders in Africa’s development journey.
