Abdul-Fatahi Adam is a highly accomplished international health and development specialist with extensive expertise in health systems strengthening, global health financing, and policy advocacy. With over a decade of experience in international diplomacy and public health, he has driven impactful strategic health initiatives in Ghana, Sierra Leone, and beyond, playing critical roles in shaping healthcare delivery, optimizing financial strategies, and advancing sustainable health solutions. His work spans international relations, reproductive health, capacity building, and environmental sustainability—leveraging strategic partnerships to create long-lasting systemic change.
Currently serving as a Senior Program Analyst at Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), Abdul-Fatahi successfully led efforts to establish CHAI’s Northern Program Office, reinforcing health financing structures and expanding programmatic impact in underserved regions. His leadership has been pivotal in mobilizing resources, strengthening health governance, and collaborating with key stakeholders to improve healthcare accessibility and efficiency. Prior to CHAI, he held key roles at Chemonics International, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), and Global Communities, where he led multimillion-dollar public health initiatives, advised on national health financing strategies, and secured funding for critical health programs in Ghana.
As a seasoned researcher and policy analyst, Abdul-Fatahi has provided evidence-based insights on health financing, governance, and global health security, influencing high-level decision-making. His ability to engage effectively with government agencies, donors, and international organizations has facilitated cross-sectoral collaborations to advance health equity.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Health System Management from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, building on his extensive academic background. He holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a Master of Public Health from the University of South Wales, and a Master of Science in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). His diverse academic background, combined with his hands-on leadership in global health programs, positions him as a strategic force in international health diplomacy and development.
Passionate about project management and health logistics, Abdul-Fatahi is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a member of the Project Management Institute-Ghana Chapter and also a member of the International Association of Public Health Logisticians (IAPHL). Being interested in advocacy, capacity building, and sustainable policy solutions, Abdul-Fatahi remains committed to strengthening healthcare systems, influencing policy reforms, and driving innovative health interventions that empower communities and improve lives across Africa.
